DAOC and radar, need some info

Hey guys,

I hear lots of discussion about radar being gone from DAOC. Is it true ? Is it just 1 program that is banned ? Need some info, I always hated radaring.

They banned all the people that used Autokiller. But Autokiller works somehow again...I'm back playing WoW on Archimonde now. My priest is on Mugthol though

Haven't used radar since I came back to classic, Lamorak was bad but they caught the inital wave of bannings a while ago.

After that server died and I went to gareth. I run mostly solo on my sorc with a cleric and mins bot. I'm sure there will always be 8mans who want to use it (seeing how you can reroll a driver in 3 days) but when I run I don't ever feel like I've been cheated against. There are so few now I can't honestly never tell if they are using radar or not. If they are it's hardly noticable. It's no where near as blatent as before.

Why you asking anyhow I thought you sold your sorc?

Sorc is not sold, and I am a very very confused person.

I am playing games like civ 4, dungeon siege 2 and even birth of the federation (old old game) but I am getting bored fast. Its the winter so I dont go out much and got some free time on my hands.

If there is less cheating and most of the players that are left are people that are serious or want to have fun, maybe I can find some time to play again.

Plus, of all the games that are coming out soon, I dont see any that will satisfy what I need, except for warhammer which wont be here for a while.

Its just to bad that Lamorak guild died, playing mid was fun.

yea we had a great bunch of people and the right class combinations. It's amazing what 8 people working together can do. It's too bad everyone choose our realm to be fotm at the time

Most of our guys are on hib kickin ass in an 8-man being all fotm so put me out to making new friends and being in new clicks which has it's advantages I must of been asked to play hib 100times but i refuse to go to a fotm zerg realm. Sucks being railroaded into playing a "less then" toon. But at the same time I'm the same person who rolled a valykn sb just for the exact reason. The balance is pretty good with daoc and good skill can overcome small toon handicaps.

I got my relic title now and been doing my fair share of leading. Just shooting for my Scourge of Hibernia Title now (25,000 hibs) hehe..
I figure by RR9 i'll have it which shouldn't take me too much longer.

If they ever cluster Ector/lamo with Gareth it would be the all time greatest cluster because the only mids on gareth are 2 8-mans really.

I gave up on EQ2; time involvent and changes to the mechanics of the game left a bad SWG taste in my mouth. So i'm pretty much stuck with DAOC AGAIN untill vanguard, darkfall, Pirates, etc... come out to try.

I'm sure its back in some form, but I really don't notice it much anymore.

Playing on Mid/Merlin still, running small groups, and we've been managing to pick off straglers pretty easily.

Pre the big banning, would always get zerged down fast.

^^--- Tell me if this is fucked up, A IRL friend wasn't using his minstral he had work and couldn't play and shit. So I asked if I could use his account since he couldn't play and I didn't feel like buying a new account specially when i can give a RL friend the rp's incase he ever came back, so he says sure np. So a month or two passes and I get HIS toon (My bot minstral) RR6L1. I go in and try to log in one day and of course the PW is change and I PM him and yea straight up tells me I can't use it anymore AND he's not playing it! He straight up just cancels it and doesn't tell me. I didn't care about the rps on a bot long as it had SoS3 thats about all the use I got out of it.

He says he got a job cut and couldn't afford to pay for the account, which I told him wasn't the issue I could pay for it he still says no. He's actually playing a freeshard. Mind you dude has a car and apartment and no woman so if he can afford toilet paper to whipe his ass he can afford to pay for daoc.

I mean who wouldn't want their account paid for and Rps plvled? mind you he has his SW, so there's not an issue there.

SO ANYWAYS i bought a new account plvled a mins in 22hrs and he's RR5 now his name was PACE PicanteSauce SO I named mine Chilis ThicknChunkyPwnsPace

Well maybe I will try to play my sorc a bit and see how it goes.

I am above 49.5 now, and maybe some people have some extra DS items. Or I can use the new epic, its pretty good. Will try to go and buy new headset tomorrow. I read that I get rps for mezzing, will give it a try.

Plus my inconnu really looks sexy.
