I will be playing either a Demonologist or Necro. I will be going to pick up my pre order soon as I get off work(the only pre orders are fucked up at GameStop here in NY, I called and confirmed this as well as seen a shit ton of posts about it on various forums)

I pre-orded awhile ago from Bestbuy for my Rhino. After playing all the classes in beta I will be playing a ranger. Three forms of CC and nice damage to bring to a group. If I have an Alt it will most likely be a tank or a PoM if we are short healers.

Pre ordered already, barb or conqueror. I'm really split between them too, like 50/50. Both look interesting, I'm not sure how viable a conq will be as an OT/DPS though.... siiiiiiigh.

I have at least 3 people coming with me, one is looking at a bard, not sure what ceregon will do, and not sure what my other friend will play.

I would like to run under the BloodWinter Clan tag or at least BWC. It seems like the majority of us, especially w/ Twyst's WoW guild, is game to run PvP.

I know some are on the fence but cmon let's just stick together and make it that much easier. I mean what does it matter what server type we're on as long as we are together!

We were talking about this yesterday in vent. I wont be GMing as summers are busy for me atm. Ting may be interested but there is a catch, hes worried about this DAoC classic going live and wanting to try it. Whoever GM's really needs to have time and interest in making this work. I'm looking at guardian and Julie/Saphyre is thinkgin PoM.

Still not sold on pvp server. Getting ganked about every 3-5 minutes but roaming guilds at 9am. It really wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be, but I can't see anyway a few of my RL friends who are wanting to play would be able to put up with it.

Honestly, I'm leaning towards my group starting on a PvE server, getting to learn the game there, and if the end game PvP is significantly less on that server than a pvp one (and really it seems in the end they will be nearly the same, but not much info out yet) then we can join you guys, leveling when there isn't a clusterfuck of people in the same area right at launch.

Scott was displaying interest in a ranger, so I would tenatively mark him down for that. He preordered the game.

I'm probably going to do a barb for a main, with a conqueror for an alt. I like the barb 2h tree alot better than the conqueror's, but if we prove in need of ot's then I'll switch it up.

Hopefully conquerors will be good enough at tanking or at dpsing though, because I'd hate to roll one to be moderate at both and never get groups. I guess that's my main reason for picking a barb instead. Elf pointed out that 2handers were better for pvp than DW, sucks for me I like DWing better, but as long as I can be competitve and it's fun it doesn't matter to me.

edit: Scott, myself and both our friends like PvP rulesets better, but all of us play on a PvE server in WoW atm; so it won't really make a huge impact on our typical game experience if we roll on a PvE server. If the boarder kingdoms work like frontier zones in DAoC, it wouldn't really matter much either way; however, if the PvP is going to be played out like it is in WoW via BGs, then we would prefer a PvP server. All in all though, we will follow the majority, no splitting it up like on Lamo. Our main purpose is to have fun in a game that isn't WoW.

If the boarder kingdoms work like frontier zones in DAoC, it wouldn't really matter much either way; however, if the PvP is going to be played out like it is in WoW via BGs, then we would prefer a PvP server. All in all though, we will follow the majority, no splitting it up like on Lamo. Our main purpose is to have fun in a game that isn't WoW.

I agree with Nilbert, why not stick with our old name. I dunno about you guys but I get a sense of pride when I see it or speak it.

I think that if 8 of us were BWC, but 10 of us weren't and the guys that weren't don't want to do BWC, it doesn't really matter. What's in a name really? I'd like to play as BWC, but I don't particularly see a ton of "guild support" so far. It seems like only 5-10 of us are pushing for this, or are at least posting for it. As long as we all end up on the same server it doesn't matter to me much.

If i like the casting system and it's not gay vs melee I will play a Demonologist.

If it's kind of gay I will play a Herald of Xotli

For group supportive secondary healer I'm also leaning towards a Bear Shaman

and if I want to be in a corner by myself and go emo I will try a Assassin or Ranger.

I suggested "Epic Fail" as a guild name just because it breaks away from the "fluffy bunnies" or "Knights of the Dark Order" mentality.

One of the key decisions behind the name was everyone posting how "good" your guild is with news.. "We downed blah blah blah here is the Screenshot of our WIN, come join us!!"

We turn that motto on it's head and post Screenshots of people who FAIL Epically. We even have a very special logo to stamp on every screenshot all in red and it reads "EPIC FAIL" Certified Seal of Approval. With guild motto's of "You are not a unique and special snowflake, and Play to win attitude. I just thought it would be a great mix FOR the PvP server

Speaking of.... PvP Server... I have decided to roll with assface and make it happen. With 70% of the population voting for the PvP servers I figured worst case scenario if they DO end up being gay like daoc I can just transfer off to a blubie server.. Blubie servers won't shine till late late into end-game so I figure I have plently of time to make a decision if the PvP servers are worth it end-game.

Anyways just my thoughts on AOC, I would do a poll for server names. I know other people might have names better then mine.
