Loving GW2, really just completely taken by the game, especially after the ranger buffs!

Doing alright, a couple of us are all playing together on IoJ in GW2, it's one of the better open world pvp games that's come out in a bit, but it's still no DAoC.

Been doing ok, GW2 is great, but im on a EU server now and it's kind of unplayable

Whaddup everyone, I'm still on IoJ. GW2 is a breath of fresh air for me. It's far from perfect but I feel liberated from WoW expansions. With nothing exciting upcoming in the near future it's an acceptable gaming home. If Anet had better engineers and code monkeys the game would have been much better. Things like targeting, looting, movement, audio bugs are a little wonky in GW2.

I actually find the movement to be one of the better selling points of the game. It's by far the smoothest game I've played since WoW, and things like movement (and UI) are the only reasons that I don't still play DAoC like 11 years later. I do have issues with the sound bugs on occasion (especially on the Necro), but I find the biggest irritation to be the lack of follow-through with their original design intents. Grinds do exist, you can't get the best gear in the game (sans awesome skins) without doing stuff you may or may not want to do and spending a lot of time at it (and while this isn't a big deal now, if each piece of ascended gear is 8% stronger than a similar exotic, then it becomes problematic when full sets of gear are implemented). There is also a complete lack of parity between WvW means of gear acquisition and PvE means of gear acquisition (as well as gear parity).

All of these things piss me off, but they won't make me quit. What will inexorably make me quit is them leaving free transfers up which makes all people who want to WvW conglomerate in the top two tiers (historically thus far the top four servers) thereby promoting even more zerging, and also them not fixing culling. Downed state in WvW is bullshit too.

My ranger is almost level 60! i have 50K valor points....lol i will do some pve eventually, people keep saying gear matters.

I killed a berserker geared thief the other day in EB....he was so bad lol.
