True, Tirisfal Glade isn't a wretched starting area, and i suppose Silverpine Forest is somewhat alright, but when i was there it was in no way an optimal place to exp, and I'm not talking just questing, as i solo alot and grinding can greatly outweigh quest exp if you do it right.
As is various people in this guild can't stand PvE for the life of them anyways, what makes anyone think they will be able to stomach PvE in another game? Even if the NPCs are cooler to fight, it's still not PvP, and it's noticably harder to gain exp in the horde areas from what I've personally experienced. That being said, i also believe there will be more skilled players playing the horde side, but also alot more assholes playing the horde side.
A guild this size shouldn't have any need to rely on any other guilds in WoW as i have been able to do everything from beginning to endgame with 15 people or less. So if you guys are ruling out alliance because there are more newbs or idiots just remember, 90% of the time you will never have to rely on them to do anything more than defend their areas, and the majority of the ones that will be playing on the PvP servers are still there for PvP.
I personally have no problem playing on either side. I enjoy the undead as a race, and find their racial benefits to be quite interesting (even if they remove immunities to Sap, Intimidating shout, Poly, and Fear, I can still see Underwater Breathing as a major benefit in some areas). But I'll probably end up playing both sides anyways and capping both since it's so easy to level if you know the quest areas.
